Our natural resources practice includes
transactional work and litigation on behalf of clients ranging in size
from small independent developers to major international energy
companies. Our transactional expertise includes the negotiation and
preparation of agreements and related documents associated with the
financing, acquisition, permitting, exploration, development,
production, gathering, transportation and marketing of oil and gas. We
offer all types of title work, including the preparation of acquisition,
drilling, and division order title opinions. The firm also conducts due
diligence review involved in the acquisition or divestiture of producing
oil and gas properties and related facilities. We routinely handle the
various land issues that characterize natural resource development on
the nation's public lands. Our attorneys also appear regularly before
state and federal natural resource regulatory agencies.

involving oil and gas, real estate, partnership, governmental
regulation, and administrative law issues.
REAL ESTATE
Our real estate practice provides
expertise in residential development, tax deferred exchanges,
foreclosures, title matters, and lien priority issues. The firm's
practice also includes business entity formation and transaction
negotiation.
TAX
The firm's tax practice provides tax
planning advice to persons and business entities involved in oil and gas
exploration and development. We counsel clients in the areas of business
entity selection and formation, natural resources joint ventures and
property tax assessment protests and appeals.
TRUSTS AND ESTATES
Our trust and estate practice includes a
broad range of
matters, from simple will preparation to complex, tax-sensitive estate
planning. The firm has experience in preparing both simple and complex
estate plans, with a primary emphasis on estate plans involving oil,
